Inscription.
Milkhouse The milkhouse was built about 1916 to cool milk from the Buckley's purebred Holstein cows. Milkcans were set in a tank with cool water pumped in by a windmill. Milk was shipped by train daily to sell in Chicago. Some of the milk saved for household use was separated and the cream used to make butter. Excess milk was often fed to cats and hogs.

Silo Located in front of the barn, the airtight silo stored silage, chopped green corn, for feeding cattle. A tunnel connects the silo to the barn.
