Inscription. The City of Burlington donated a replica of this 125th anniversary clock to the City of Itabashi, Japan to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the twinning of the two cities. The replica in Itabashi is called the "Friendship Clock." A volunteer citizen of Itabashi reviewed the clock specifications and confirmed it could be installed in Itabashi. The replica clock was manufactured by a tower clock specialist, the Verdin Company in Cincinnati, Ohio. The installation of a 12 foot version of the Burlington clock stands outside Itabashi City Hall. Burlington and Itabashi twinned in May 1989.
