1. Pearce Building Marker
Inscription. George Pearce was associated with Wade, Pearce & Company. His daughters acquired the site from the company in 1918, but did not construct this Modernistic building until 1940. The sisters were Salem educators: Helen was the first woman graduate of Willamette University in 1915 and was a professor of English; Dorothy was a distinguished musician and teacher.
