Meadowbrook Park is the embodiment of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District's mission of "Enhancing the quality of life in Johnson County by providing high-quality parks, services, and recreation programs." The park is dedicated to the citizens of Johnson County as well as visitors to our area who seek the open spaces provided by regional parks, trails, and connectivity, recreation and cultural resources, an enhanced connection with nature, and the stewardship of our public resources. Through meaningful public-private teamwork, these eighty-three acres of prime land are reserved as a one-of-a-kind park with iconic architecture, naturalized landscape areas, tranquil waters, multi-use trails, wild flora and fauna, open spaces, and active play in the heart of a thriving community. The park was made possible through the vision, action, and support of the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas, the Johnson County Board of Park and Recreation Commissioners, and the mayor and council of the city of Prairie Village, Kansas.
