1. Hammond-Harwood House Museum 1774 Marker
Built in 1774 by architect William Buckland for American patriot Matthias Hammond, the house is an excellent example of Anglo-Palladian design. The museum's period rooms hold a celebrated collection of fine and decorative arts. Also featured: special exhibits, boxwood garden, gift shop.
