He served in the WY House 14th, 15th, 17th and WY Senate 18th, 19th 22nd and 23rd sessions. Thomas died unexpectedly in office in 1935., Ruie was a member of the National Women's Party in 1916, secretary to the Chair for the State, working to secure an amendment to the US Constitution, enfranchising Women. She was the WY State Chair for Child Health and Welfare, 1925-1933 and was a delegate to the White House in 1930. She raised her two sons and continued management of the Little Horse Creek Cattle Company. She later raised her two grandchildren. She was a Lifetime member of the Salvation Army, 1937-1981., Their son, James Colin, served in the WY House in the 31" and 33rd sessions and was Court Commissioner for the District Court for 27 years, until 1978, Thomas's father, Colin Hunter, came to WY from Fowlis Wester, Scotland in 1866. He freighted for the government and owned ranches in MT and WY as early as 1873. He founded the LHCCC, JG brand, which was established in the 1880's. He had early brands, YT and TY also. He served in the last Territorial Legislature before statehood and was the first Democratic State Chairman in 1890, Thomas G.
