Allain's Jewelry Store
Circa 1912

This building served as the local Ford Motor Corporation sales and service facility which was composed of four separate buildings. The present Allain's Jewelry store housed the dealership where new cars were displayed. Cars were fueled and washed in the building to the east (Pascal Building). The two rear buildings served as the service department's warehouse and radiator repair shop. The front portion, presently used as covered parking, was originally a closed display area. In 1969, the Ford dealership relocated and the building was purchased by Richard S. Allain, Sr. and Anna Schwing Allain, owners of Allain's Jewelry Store, which opened in 1961 in Paul's Flower Shop before moving to this location. The Main Street building retains the original Ford emblem and the automotive elevator. Recently renovated in 2012, the jewelry store has been in the Allain family for three generations.
