1. Texaco Gas & Greyhound Station Marker
Inscription. As automobiles became more prevalent in Mount Dora. J.M. Smith opened a service station in the mid-1920s. In 1945, Harold Larson, Shelby Caudel and Robert Caudel relocated their Texaco Service Station and Florida Motor Line Bus Station to this location. Later, Charlie Liles owned the service station and operated the Greyhound Bus Station. A second floor and an addition was added to the front of the service station, but the original building is still visible from a side view.
