to the John Fischer sculpture, the little grass park in the Village was named in honor of the former Pomona College trustee and longtime Claremont resident. Mr. Shelton was a founding partner at the law firm of Allard, Shelton and O’Conner in Pomona and worked as an attorney until his retirement in 1993.
