Het melkveebedrijf is in 1968 beλindigd. In 2011 is de boerderij gerenoveerd. House and Farmhouse
The rentier's house was built between 1870 and 1876 by the local contractor Kabel. It is a well-preserved, symmetrically constructed house in the traditional local style. In the front garden are two monumental chestnut trees, which are listed on the register of protected trees. The location of the house, the trees, and the adjacent farmhouse on Alkmaarderstraatweg, the old connecting road between Castricum and Limmen, provides a valuable historical backdrop. The Haarlem-Alkmaar steam tram ran along this road from 1896 to 1923.

A typical North Holland farmhouse in all its simplicity. The farmhouse was built in 1870 by order of Jan Kabel. A gable stone inscribed with the inscription "First stone laid by Cornelis Kabel". The farmhouse is of historical significance because it harks back to the agricultural past of the village of Castricum. From 1954 until the 1960s, pasture and agricultural land was sold and earmarked for housing. The dairy farm closed in 1968. The farmhouse was renovated in 2011. Only the square roof (the uprights and beams supporting the roof) and the facade remain original.

Stolp Farmhouse The stolp farm, also called a stolp or stelp, developed around the 16th century from the farmhouse with a detached haystack, which was later attached to the house. This eventually led to a type of farmhouse with a sophisticated, square floor plan, the North Holland stolp. This type is characterized by a closed square building mass with a high pyramidal roof, under which all the functions of the farm are housed: livestock housing, hay and cart storage, tools, and the living quarters of the farm family. A high haystack is located in the center, between the four uprights (the square). Stolps can be thatched or tiled. Combinations also occur, such as a thatched roof with several rows of tiles at the bottom to better collect rainwater. The combination of thatch and tiles is also often found on the front, where the thatch is arranged in attractive shapes called mirrors.
