Please explore these pathways, learn, and respect this environment by leaving no trace., About the Woodland: , In the early 2000s, community volunteers formed a partnership with the city's natural resources staff to remove trash and invasive buckthorn from this site. Later, those volunteers and other project supporters created an advisory committee to continue woodland restoration and to develop this area as an outdoor classroom., Today volunteers maintain the Como Woodland Outdoor Classroom with the help and guidance of the City of Saint Paul Parks and Recreation Natural Resources Department and a community advisory committee., Free permits for teachers, students and groups can be obtained by calling (651) 266-6400 or by emailing [email protected], Volunteer to become a Como Woodland steward at stpaul.gov/OngoingVolunteers.
