Inscription. This 18-ton capacity rail crane was built by Bert Pyke Ltd of Oshawa, Ontario circa 1985. It was owned by CP Rail and the Toronto Terminals Railway and used extensively to rebuild tracks and switches in the Union Station Rail Corridor. It has a Detroit 6V-S3T two-stroke turbocharged diesel engine, is self-propelled, and can handle a small service train by itself. The crane is the most modern artifact in the collection; the cab is air-conditioned and all motions are hydraulically driven and controlled by joysticks.
