Built by 1856 for use on Genesee Valley Canal, approx. 124-mile-long canal in use until 1878. Railroad later followed canal route.

Regarding Canal Warehouse. The Canal Warehouse has quite a history. After the canal shut down, the building became a hotel, bar with exotic dancers, and a brothel.
