1. Warren Historical Marker Marker
On July 24, 1867 Mrs. Thurston Warren was murdered by Sioux Indians as she stood in the doorway of her log cabin home located one-half mile north of this spot.
When found her baby Thomas was still clasped in his mother's arms. Another son was severely wounded but he recovered.
Erected 1967 by Hall County and the Hall County Historical Society.
