1. Bogue Falaya Wayside Park Marker
Inscription.
Bogue Falaya Wayside Park was officially opened on July 1, 1909. The city owned the park until 1938 when it was gifted to the State of Louisiana. In 1978, the State of Louisiana gave the park back to the City of Covington. On August 17, 2017, Bogue Falaya Park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are two significant historical resources in the park-the main pavilion constructed in 1915 and the gates which were donated in 1920.
