Inscription. Pearlene (Davis) Weston
Born March 14, 1896 at Graham, OK, daughter of M.E. and Elizabeth (Adams) Davis. As a small girl, moved with her parents by covered wagon, and homesteaded 2½ miles east of Russell & lived in a half dug-out. Her brothers and sisters were: Grace, Florence, Ed, Clarence, Bessie, and Marvin. She attended school at New Hope. She married James Alonzo Weston, April 11, 1917. He was a World War I veteran. They had 3 children: Richard, Mildred and Frances, graduates of Centralvue. Richard, died in 1979. Pearl has seen 5 generations - grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 8, and a great-great grandmother. She loved the farm and spent her time as a homemaker, pulling cotton and keeping the yard, which gained her recognition. She and J.A. moved to Mangum in 1960. He died 1967.

Myrtle Lee Hill Summers
Born March 15, 1897 to J.M. & Minerva Hill at Decatur, Tx. The family came to Old Greer Co. in 1900 in a railway box car, with their livestock and implements in one end and the family in the other. They settled seven miles west of Granite, later the Brinkman community. Myrtle was a member of the first graduating class of Brinkman High School in 1917. She was married to Arthur Summers, October 21, 1919. To this union were born four children: Marjorie, Quinn, Jerry and Mickey. She was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, a dedicated wife and mother. She was also very active in community affairs. Myrtle and Arthur Summer's celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in 1983. Myrtle passed away February 19, 1984.
