Nature Inspires Art
In the 1940s, Rock City hired Atlanta artist Jessie Sanders to create glow-in-the-dark scenes from popular fairy tales to feature in Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village. Rock City is also home to several original sculptures by local artists that were inspired by this magical place. Patronage of the arts continues as we work with area artists and artisans to reimagine the Hall of the Mountain King portion of Rock City's Enchanted Trail. This project features a larger than life figurative troll sculputure allowing artful passage to curious guests. For more than 90 years, Rock City has invited the inspiration of the natural beauty around us to shine through artistic endeavors.
