1. Point of Fork Marker
Inscription. In summer, 1781, Lt. Col. Simcoe led his Queen's Rangers and the 2nd Bt. of the 71st Highland Light Infantry in a successful raid upon the arsenal at Point of Fork. Baron von Steuben with some 400 recruits was able to save some of the weaponry by removing it to the south border of the James at the present site of Rotherwood, the position where the rebels formed hours before the raid. Daniel Boone and other prominent pioneers also crossed here on their journeys west.

4. Rotherwood
1991 newspaper sale advertisement for Rotherwood Farm, as named in the marker. It used to stand at 1841 Columbia Rd but was demolished in 2002 and replaced with a modern home.
