1. Mark 45 Nuclear Capable Torpedo Marker

Inscription. The Mk 45 introduced a nuclear warhead to the submarine-launched torpedo arsenal. It was designed for attack against high-speed, deep-diving submarines. Innovations include a seawater-activated battery to power an electric motor and an advanced guidance system that used the attacking submarine's sonar to track the target.

The Mark 45 was in service from 1958 to 1976.
