1. Bofors 40MM Quad Gun Marker
Inscription.
Introduced in 1942, the Bofors was the standard intermediate range gun on U.S. Navy destroyer escorts and other surface ships until the 1950s. It had a firing rate of 120 rounds per minute, and fired a two pound projectile with a maximum horizontal range of 33,000 feet.

It was never used on submarines but would have been on USS Missouri and other surface ships throughout World War II.
