1. 3"/50 Deck Gun Marker

Inscription.
Teamwork and practice were needed to load, sight, and fire this 3"/50 caliber gun while other crew members carried shells up from below deck.

As an anti-ship weapon, it proved less than ideal. Many were replaced with longer range, more powerful 5" deck guns like the one you see on USS Bowfin's deck.
