Doctor’s Office 7401 Grandview
Frontier towns needed the skills of trained physicians. In an age before antibiotics, epidemics raged through a community killing victims, especially children, in a few hours. Diphtheria, whooping cough, scarlet fever and tuberculosis took their toll.
The Doctor is In
Dr. Harry T. Hallock opened his practice in the house at 7401 Grandview in 1896 and practiced until 1902 when he sold the house and practice to Dr. Richard Russell. Dr. Russell was instrumental in Arvada’s incorporation and was elected its first mayor in 1905.
