1. Plainfield Cemetery Marker

Inscription. This beautiful piece of land was a gift in the early 1800's to the Plainfield area by Thomas Johnson. This donated parcel of land came to be known as Johnson Cemetery and was later changed to its current name of Plainfield Cemetery. Johnson's first son William was the first to be buried in this cemetery and was followed by many others, many who gave their lives nobly in the service of their country.

Erected 2011 by Thomas Johnson's GGG Granddaughter Donna Mae Betenbender (Johnson).
