Lawn Bowling or "bowls is a challenging game of skill for all ages. The object is to finish closer to the "jack" (white ball) than your opponent. A "bowl always curves as it rolls because of the way it is made. Inquire in the Roxbury clubhouse for information on membership, and instruction.

2. Lawn Bowling Marker
Roxbury Park is a popular 11-acre community park in Beverly Hills, offering extensive green space for recreation, including playgrounds, picnic areas, and sports facilities like tennis, basketball, and sand volleyball courts, plus baseball/soccer fields, and a community center.
The Beverly Hills Lawn Bowling Club was founded in 1926. It moved to Roxbury Park in the 1930s, when the first clubhouse was built. Early players included actors Otto Kruger (1885-1974) and Edward Arnold (1890-1956). Walt Disney (1901-1966) was also a donor and regular player.
