The Lost Fishermen's Memorial honors the legacy of those who have lost their lives in the pursuit of their livelihood of fishing. These fishermen were tragically taken from Washington and Charlotte County communities and perished between the years of 1900 to the present. This memorial serves as a reminder of the strong cultural ties between the dangers of the sea and its hard working people.
