Gusaling Corazon Cojuangco Aquino

This building is named after the 11th President of the Republic of the Philippines. Her name: Corazon Conjuangco Aquino. She stood as the country's living icon on equlity and fairness, and above all, of democracy when she occupied the highest position of the land in 1986 to 1992 and beyond. She has spread to the world even after her death on August 1, 2009 the unique spirit and legacy of a revoliton powered not by swords of war or arms of destruction but by people who love peace, justice and freedom. They are the Filipino people.

The City of Manila and this institution will forever live up to her memory. To many us her greatest lesson is 'that even the most seemingly ordinary Filipino, one whom many called a mere housewife and a know-nothing--could rise to the challenge and lead an entire nation back to democracy.'

Done in the City of Manila this 8th of October, 2009.
