1. Claire Joy and Jack Marker
Claire Joy was the Luthers' daughter. After her first husband died, she signed up for dance lessons at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in San Antonio and Jack Findley was her instructor. They married in 1993. She inherited the hotel from her parents, and after she died, the hotel was run and owned by Jack, who died in 2020. He loved the hotel being the center of the city's activities - the Easter Egg Hunt, the annual Birdfest, and Seaside Holidays when Santa would arrive on the pier in front of the hotel on a shrimp boat. Jack was a beloved host to multitudes of guests and a good friend to many townspeople.
