Inscription. The American Chemical Society honors its core value of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. This core value includes recognition of this nation's history. ACS' DC offices sit on the ancestral homelands of the Piscataway, Anacostan, and Nacotchtank people. ACS acknowledges the painful history of enslavement, genocide, and forced removal from this land, and honors and respects the many diverse Indigenous, Native, and Aboriginal peoples still connected to this land on which we gather.
