Hier stand der Mantel- oder Frauenturm der mittelalterlichen Stadtbefestigung. Verwendet als Frauengefängnis, daher „Käfig“ genannt. Erbaut im 13. Jahrhundert, zerstört 1689–1693.

English Translation:
Here stood the Mantel or Frauenturm of the medieval city fortifications. Used as a women’s prison, therefore called the “Cage.” Built in the 13th century, destroyed 1689–1693.
