1. Town Park Marker
Inscription.
A "gift to the community," Town Park was constructed between 1923 and 1934 as a Civil Works Administration Project of the New Deal. Originally purchased from William Crosbie in 1917, by a group of local citizens, this former cow pasture was transformed into a recreation area. On July 4, 1935, the oversized pool was opened and has since remained an exceptional summer destination. Town Park has been funded and managed by the Borough of Canonsburg and whole-heartedly supported by friends of the park.

Dedicated to the memory of Mr. Sigmund Alexander Sulkowski and Mrs. Phoebe M. Dagar-Sulkowski, educators who made a difference

Erected 2023 by Jefferson College Historical Society and Dr. William Milton Sulkowski and family.
