Avec vitalité, curiosite et intelligence, l'infatigable militante ac corde son soutien et partage son expertise jusqu'à un âge avancé. En 1997, la création de la Maison Parent-Roback, où logent plusieurs groupes féministes, souligne son engagement pour la cause des femmes. Elle nous quitte en 2012, agée de 93 ans, sous une pluie d‘hommages qui confrment son statut de figure emblématique du militantisme québécois.
Activist to the very end
After retiring from the union movement in 1983, Madeleine Parent continued to be involved in the struggles that had driven her for years. With vitality, curiosity, and intelligence, the tireless activist garnered support and shared her expertise well into old age. In 1997, the creation of the Maison Parent-Roback, which houses several feminist groups, underscored her commitment to the cause of women.
