1. Shortcut Trail Marker

Inscription. Prior to automobiles, horseback riders used this route as a shortcut. Carriages had to stay on the road constructed in 1884. Today, hikers take this way to the Oertel Trail and from there go to the Grand Promenade and the Bathhouse Row area.
