Greater Old Salem Cemetery has been a resting place for loved ones since the 1800s. This cemetery was moved from the Haweridge Community to the Long Street Community in 1946. The oldest marker is dated 1849. State officials acknowledged Greater Old Salem Cemetery's historic significance by adding it to the Alabama Historic Cemetery Register on December 3, 2010.
Erected 2013 by Greater Old Salem Missionary Baptist Church and Alabama Historical Commission.
