Whittier Mill Village in Atlanta in Fulton County, Georgia — The American South (South Atlantic)
The Hedgerows Trail
Following Whittier's retirement as Mill Manager in 1934, Hedgerows was divided into five apartments for mill workers. Having fallen into a state of neglect, Hedgerows was demolished in the early 1970s. Some historic site features remain along this trail including a concrete footing from the water tower, the landscape indentation of the house site, and a brick gatepost at the corner of Parrott and Spad Avenues.
