1. Site of Lima's First Cemetery Marker

Inscription. The Tanner Street Cemetery was Lima's first cemetery and the resting grounds of Private Elijah Stites who served as a color bearer during the American Revolution at the Battle of Yorktown in Virginia. Pvt. Stites is the only Revolutionary War soldier buried within Lima city limits.
