1. Allen County Soldier Monument Marker

Inscription. Standing in solemn tribute within Lima's historic Woodlawn Cemetery, the Allen County Soldier Monument honors local men who served in the Civil War. Erected in 1885, the monument features a Union soldier atop a granite pedestal, surrounded by symbolic carvings and dedication plaques. Funded by public donations, it reflects the community's enduring respect for those who fought to preserve the Union. This monument remains a lasting reminder of sacrifice, service, and the rich history of Allen County's military legacy.
