Caroga Lake in Fulton County, New York — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
Doc's Drop
This trail named in honor of William (Doc) Charles, who organized the first Ski Patrol at Royal Mountain and was the first patrol leader for 15 years.
Doc was a combat infantryman with the 10th Mountain Division in WWII, and saw action in Italy '44-'45. Without Doc's leadership and the volunteer efforts of a few others, Royal Mtn. Ski Area would not have been possible.
Erected by Royal Mountain Ski Area.
