1. Office James "Chris" Magill Memorial Bridge Marker
Inscription. On Sunday, May 23, 1993 Officer James Chris' Magill was killed in the line of duty while protecting this community. Ofc. Magill served on the Gwinnett County Police Department's DUI task force and while awaiting a tow truck on a routine drunk driving stop, Ofc. Magill was struck and killed by a subsequent drunk driver.

At the time of his death, Officer Magill was 39 years of age. He served this community, as a member of the Gwinnett County Police Department, for 10 years. In addition to this bridge, J. C. Magill Elementary School was named in memoriam of his service and sacrifice.
