Their known children are:
1. David - Born 1785. Moved to Campbell County (Douglas), then to Louisiana.
2. John P. - Born 1795. Moved to Campbell County (Douglas). Died here in 1848
3. William P. - Born 1804. Moved to Campbell County (Douglas). Died here in 1860
4. Susan V. - Born 1807. Moved to Cobb County. Married Thomas Merremon HOLLIS 5. Georgie P. - Born 1812. Moved to Campbell County, then to Paulding County, then to Fulton County.
David
He seems to be the eldest child. He is married and on the 1820 census in York County, SC. He and his wife are 26-46 and there is a femal 16-25. She is gone by the 1830 census in Habersham County, GA, where he and his wife are 40-50 (b. 1780-1790). He has 4 slaves. In 1840, he is in Campbell County with the rest of the family. In 1850, we learn his wife's name is Sarah. David is 66 and she is 64. They are living in Jackson County, LA. In 1860, it is Clairborne County, LA. THey have no children. In 1870, Sarah has died, but David is 87. Some of Jon P's sons stop in LA before moving

John P.
Married twice, both named Mary. In South Carolina, he married Mary Patton Ingram. They had the following children before she died in 1830:

James M. - Born 1819.
John A. - Born 1821. Married Mary C. Hinton (August 16, 1849). In Louisiana by 1860, then in Texas by 1870.
David - Born 1822. Moved to Louisiana.
William - Born 1824.
Samuel R. - Born 1828. He was in Louisiana by 1860, then in Texas by 1870.
His second wife was Mary Elizabeth Kelly, who he married January 25, 1831, in South Carolina. Their children are:
Christopher Columbus "Lum" - Born 1832. Married Mary Ann CARNES on February 14, 1856.
Lydia Ann - Born 1835. Married Jacob Roberts
Elizabeth L. - Born 1837. Married Newton Roberts on August 25, 1853
Charlotta - Born 1839. Married John Roberts in 1855.
They moved here in 1834 and in 1839 John P. was a member of New Hope Baptist CHurch in Villa Rica. He and his entire family would worship here. It was there that they met the CARNES family.

He was the first to come to Campbell County where he shows up in 1830 as a single man. He married

Amanda M. - Born 1834.
Proloma Clementine - Born 1836.
Mahala Jane - Born 1839. In 1900, she is unmarried and owns a farm in Paulding County.
Wyatt S.B. - Born1841.
By the 1870 census, Jane and Cementine are in one household and Wylie A. and wife Amanda are the only ones left in Dark Corners. All of William P.'s Family are out of the county by 1880.
George P.
By 1850, his father William is dead and mother Violet, age 90, is living with him. He has married Anna W, who was born in GA. They live by A.G. Weddington and Briant Williams, both "W" names, but not sure who she is. George P. and Anna W. had these children:

Charity - Born 1843
Sarah - Born 1848. In 1880 is unmarried and works in Atlanta.
Harry - Born 1855.
By the 1860 census, they live in the Brownsville P.O. area of Paulding County. In 1862, sons George W. and David from Fulton County, enlist in the CSA as Privates in Company I, 42nd Infantry Regiment of Georgia. In 1865, George W. married Caroline Eidson in Fulton County. George P. dies before the 1870 census where we find widow A(nna) W. Clinton, age 60 running a boarding house with Charity and Harry, in Ward 1 Atlanta. Son John, age 30, is a RR laborer. He and his wife Susan, age 24, live in Atlanta. David, and wife Martha and Rachel 2 in Cartersville. Ana, widow of George, appears on Atlanta City Directory through 1881. One J.M. Clinton was in the CSA. Joseph M. is listed as owing the IRS in 1866 in Atlanta. He is an auctioneer. IN 1901, a John M. Clinton of Whitfield County, GA was given a pension of $25 for injury to his arm in the Civil War. In 1902, J.M. Clinton of Chatooga County, GA, got a disability pension from the Civil War of $25 due to injury of his hands (Is JM, Joseph M.?)
Christopher Columbus Clinton
In 1856, he married Mary Ann CARNES, eldest daughter of John THomas CARNES and they built a cabin near her parents. Her father died in 1860. Christopher Columbus Clinton went to war in 1862 and came home unhurt. After Mary Ann's mother died, she wanted the "home place" and C.C. "Lum" began buying up parcels and trading with her brothers and sisters until they owned all 400 acres of the Carnes property. This is known today as The Clinton Farm, or Clinton Reserve Recreational Area.
On the 1870 census, C.C. is 38, Mary Ann is 37, and they have Mary Elizabeth 10, Charles Marion 7, and twins Thomas J. and Julia A, age 4. Census reveals that they are surrounded by most of their 9 siblings. Before 1880, both Mary Ann and Thomas J. die. Mary Elizabeth married James M. Moore and lives next door. Julia never marries and she died in 1909. Lum died in 1911.
Charles M married Harriet E. Sayer, daughter of James A. and Mary V. Sayer. They had Annie Estell, Christopher Columbus, and James Archer. None of the children married. The last Clinton in Douglas County, "Miss" Annie died in 1983. All their family rest at New Hope.
