known and the unknown dead.

This new Barkhamsted Cemetery has been
constructed by the Water Bureau of the
Metropolitan District of Hartford County,
in co-operation with the Barkhamsted
Center Cemetery Association, Incorporated.

Regarding Barkhamsted Center Cemetery. In 1939 several cemeteries in the area now covered by the Barkhamsted Reservoir were relocated to the this site. Some of the graves moved were unidentified. These were all put in the "Unknown" section of the Center Cemetery.
