Music Educator and Advocate

Madelon was blessed with a warm, endearing smile and unsurpassed love of music. A graduate of St. Rose High School (1950) and Mount St. Joseph College, Madelon taught piano lessons for generations of Lima area students. She assisted Monsignor E.C. Herr at Lima Central Catholic High School as an instructor for his notable musicals of the late 1950's and early 1960's. Madelon served several terms as president of the Friends of Music of Northwest Ohio, president of the Etude Club and chairman of the Middle West District of the Ohio Music Teacher Association.
