1. Plantation Trail Marker
Inscription.
The simple buildings Washington remembered are gone, but the patterns of hills, fields, and woods remain. Reconstructed buildings now recreate some of the scenes Washington knew as a child. The park brochure, available inside the visitor center, will explain these structures to you.

A trail of just over one-quarter of a mile winds through the developed area of the farm, which is approximately the same size it was in Washington's day. The trail is an easy stroll to the site where Booker T. Washington was born.
