1. Welcome to Mill Mountain Wildflower Garden Marker

Inscription.
Mill Mountain Garden Club (est. 1927) created the Wildflower Garden in the early 1970's. The members of the club continue to plan, plant, and maintain the garden. The Wildflower Garden embodies Mill Mountain Garden Club's mission of conservation, horticulture, education, and civic improvement.

This unique mountaintop garden provides majestic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Enjoy the beauty within and beyond the garden.

The six-hundred foot ADA Discovery Trail connects the Wildflower Garden entrance to the Zoo. Explore the garden's many treasures along the trail.

While springtime offers a showcase of beauty as the wildflowers emerge and wind their way throughout the garden, a multitude of native shrubs, flowering plants, and magnificent trees can be enjoyed during every season of the year.

The iconic White Oak "Bump Tree," Fairy Garden, Star Stump Jump, and Pond offer fun and educational opportunities for children to play and discover the magic of nature.

Surrounded by the garden's natural beauty, the cascading pond provides the meditative solace of water. We encourage you to sit and stay a while.

pond was redesigned as part of the 2021 Restoration of Mill Mountain Wildflower Garden. The restoration also reimagined trials, expanded the garden flora with hundreds of new native plants, and highlighted environmental stewardship.

Please stay on the trails and leave trees, shrubs, flowers, and wildlife undisturbed so others may enjoy them. Leashed dogs are welcome.
