1. 111-113 West Elder Marker

Inscription. Built in the last years of the Civil War, 111-113 W. Elder operated like many of the neighboring structures where both buildings housed first-floor businesses and provided upstairs apartments for families and individuals. The history of 111-113 W. Elder is interwoven with the Market. It not only provided fresh food for tenants, along with the tens of thousands of other immigrants in Over-the-Rhine, but it also provided jobs, customers, and community for those who lived or worked around the Market. Since 2021, the space has been home to a few businesses, including a plant-based juicery and a coffee shop.
