1. 129 West Elder Marker

Inscription. 129 W. Elder is a three-story Italianate building that was used to house different businesses over the years such as a flour shop, a grocery store, and a bakery. Throughout all of its storefront uses in the late 1800s and early 1900s, several families lived upstairs, almost all of them immigrants from Germany, France, Holland, and other European nations. By the mid-1980s, the building was vacant and remained so until 2014 when, once again, a new business opened: Maverick Chocolate Co.

Erected 2025 by America 250-Ohio Commission.
