1. Tom Healy Field Marker

Inscription. All told — from the time he first stepped to the plate as a player at age eight in 1965, until he took his final curtain call as a league officer in 2016 — Mr. Tom Healy spent more than five decades intertwined with Boys Baseball of Aurora, the Aurora Pony League, Aurora Legion League and Aurora Municipal League. You might say he touched 'em all, along with the countless lives of players, parents, umpires, fans and fellow officers through a half century of participation, service and dedication.

Upon completion of his playing career, Mr. Healy's commitment to the Aurora baseball community compelled him to stay "one more year" — for 36 consecutive seasons — as the Aurora Legion League's secretary and treasurer. During that time, he inspired the lives of thousands of young players by instilling values, discipline and integrity, and creating a sense of significance for those players to carry into adulthood while imparting the wisdom and lessons learned through baseball to be instilled in their daily lives and careers.

While many parents come and go as volunteers, serving only during the time their children are involved, Mr.
