Inscription. This Japanese stone lantern, or "Ishi Dohroh" symbolizes the sister city friendship maintained for years between Hino, Tokyo, and Redlands, California. It, is also a tribute to the late Toshiko Nakada, an educator and grassroots advocate, who tirelessly contributed to the promotion of sister city spirt and cross cultural understanding between Japanese and American Youth
