1. Arnett Cemetery Marker
Established in 1889, this cemetery is the final resting place of several generations of the Arnett family, a prominent African American family in the Springhill area of Madison County. Among those buried here are Samuel Arnett and Louisa Ward Arnett, formerly enslaved individuals who became landowners and community leaders. Their family's settlement laid the foundation for what is now known as Arnett Road, where their descendants still reside. The cemetery remains a symbol of continuity and historical significance in the region.
