1. Mother Skye Marker

Inscription. Mother Skye was inspired by the ancient Egyptian goddess of the sky stars, cosmos, and the universe, Nut (pronounced newt). She is seen here as a woman arching over the earth with her fingers and toes in the horizon. In ancient Egyptian mythology Nut swallowed the sun god each evening, thereby bringing on night, and gave birth to him each morning, bringing back the daylight. She is usually depicted as a woman bent over the earth with her hands and feet on the ground each point symbolizing the four cardinal points and serving as the pillars of the sky.
