Civilian Conservation Corps
1933 - 1942
The Civilian Conservation Corps, established during the Great Depression, reduced unemployment among young men from poor families. Three million CCC "boys" engaged in conservation projects that created a legacy of national treasures including Laurel Hill and Kooser State Parks. This statue is dedicated with sincere gratitude to all who served in the CCC.
